• This is a fun hobby, but even hobbies need some rules to keep it running
  smoothly.   REMEMBER, WE DO THIS FOR FUN .. NOT FOR PAY

• 1.We're all here to have fun! Yet we are here to work as well. If we are to have people think of us as a professional radio station then we must act respectful and professional. In the hopes of resolving some situations before they start we have put together a few rules that the DJ's are to adhere to. Most of these rules really shouldn't even have to be stated if you are respectful

·      DRAMA will NOT be tolerated. If you have drama, work it out with the person that you have the

     problem with.  If things can't be worked out and it interferes with the running of the stations then those

     parties involved will be fired.  This includes broadcasting any type of personal drama, gossip  or hear-say drama.

BEST HITS RADIO... All Shows will be conducted in a professional manner unless preapproved by Ollie or the General Manager 6AM-8PM EST ONLY ( CHILD COULD BE LISTENING TIME)    BEST HITS IS THE FLAGSHIP STATION AND INVESTORS WILL BE VIEWING FROM TIME TO TIME .. KEEP IT CLEAN PEOPLE......

1.NO CUSSING BY THE DJ

2.NO DRINKING  ALCOHOL OR USING STREET DRUGS BY  WHILE DJ IS ON AIR

3. NO MENTION OF ALCOHOL OR STREET DRUGS BY THE DJ

4. TRY TO KEEP THE MUSIC WITHOUT TOO MUCH PROFANITY ... REQUESTS WILL STILL BE FILLED, ANNOUNCE THE REQUEST OR PLAY A REQUEST LINER  BEFORE THE SONG ....

VIOLATORS AT BEST HITS WILL GET A ONE WEEK SUSPENSION ...... PERIOD

  ALL DJ's USING OBG SERVERS MUST BE APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

             IF YOU WORK FOR A LEASED STATION THAT LEASED STATION'S RULES WILL BE ENFORCED.

• Nobody will be taken off the schedule without being notified beforehand with an explanation as to why they have been removed.  These decisions are made by The Owner OR  General Manager.

• Staff Meetings - It is important that when there is a meeting that you all attend.  Meetings are mandatory, not optional.  If you are going to miss a staff meeting, please contact a manager prior to the meeting. We    will use either Teamspeak, Skype or Yahoo Chat(rare) for meetings. TEAMSPEAK...  IS THE CURRENT REGULAR MEETING PLACE... IF DIFFERENT YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY UPPER MGMT ,OLLIE,OR OBG OPS MANAGER ONLY. STAFF IS REQUIRED TO KEEP THERE TS WORKING AND (NOT USE IT FOR PERSONAL USES OR PAY $5 a KB usage 15 sec of of voice will cost you $5)

• If you take a shift, please make sure that it is one that you can make on a regular basis. If you repeatedly can’t take your own shifts please step down or take a LOA from them and take shifts you can be there for!   ALSO TO REMAIN ON ACTIVE STAFF  YOU NEED TO TAKE AT LEAST ONE SCHEDULED SHIFT A WEEK ON A REGULAR OBG STATION (2 HOUR SHIFT)

• Out of respect for the DJ on air before you, you must show up at least 15 minutes before your shift and contact the on-air DJ. This is to let the current DJ on air know that you are ready to take your shift. If you are late for your shift then the DJ who has the station has the right to keep it if he/she wants.

• If you are unable to cover your shift due to "planned" situations... (Dr appt, Meetings, Work, ETC) we need to know about these 2 days in advance.  If you have an emergency and you are unable to cover your shift THAT DAY, let us know ASAP.  Emergencies are an acceptable reason as to why you could not cover your shift...As long as a pattern is not noticed.  If you are unable to cover your shift THAT DAY, it is your responsibility to find someone to cover the shift for you, if you cannot find someone to cover your shift, you need to contact a manager at least 2 hours prior to your shift so they can find someone to cover your shift   for you.  Auto DJ is not an acceptable cover for your shift.
• The radio station should be in your Yahoo-Skype-MSN status when you are online.  This is cheap easy advertising that takes 1 minute to do.

• There is NO 3 strike rule in effect here.  We will give you plenty of chances within reason.  If it becomes necessary to terminate someone, then it was thought through beforehand and the situation was handled accordingly.

• You are responsible for the upkeep of your computer and SAM Broadcaster maintenance (SAM   maintenance will be explained by your trainer). You must have up to date Spy Ware Removers and Antivirus. You are responsible for doing disc cleaning, defragging, and cookie removal. These are things you need to do to    keep your computer ready to broadcast.   ---- IF YOU NEED HELP, YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK !!

• We encourage creativity. All liners (voice promos) must be approved by an owner prior to it being played on the air.  If you make your own intro or had someone else make it for you, you can use it, but if the management feels it is not in good taste, we will ask you to not play it anymore.

• There is a chain of command in place. If you have a problem or need help with anything, you need to follow this chain of command.

a.   1st       Shift Manager/DJ Manager

b.   2nd      Station Manager

c.   3rd      Station General Manager

d     4th      Operation General Manager

e.    5th       Owner (only if and when all other options have been attempted)

• If one of the Managers is not online at the time, please go to the next highest manager or leave them an offline message.   They are Station Managers for a reason, and the station owners do not need to deal with situations that can be handled by a manager.  The only time you should go to a station owner is if a manager instructs you to do so.  If you go over a managers head and talk to the owner(s) without following the chain of command, you will be dealt with accordingly.  Also, if you go over a manager's head and talk to an owner...the first thing they will ask you is... "Did you talk to a manager about this?"

·        In the event the server's go down, please message management only. If management cannot solve the issue, they will inform the remainder of the staff the server status.

·        Make a separate group for Management and DJ's in your Yahoo Messenger list.  This will keep you organized. 

·        DUE to issues with a past manager, WE HAVE A HARASSMENT POLICY  READ IT  HERE .

·        Do not post on the tag board that the servers are DOWN... simply state that we are running server maintenance and the station(s) will be back as soon as possible. Any negative comments from anyone (including station owners) about the status of the server will be considered a disciplinary situation (up to

      and including loss of station).

·        All Content (SITE NAMES, THEMES, and Graphics) ARE property of OBG and its Designers...  and are Registered TRADEMARKS!!  Copying, Distribution (posting on another non-OBG site) and Tampering could be subject up to a $100,000 US Copyright and Trademark fine.

• Termination and Transferring:     

      Part 1 - THIS IS   IF YOUR SAM BROADCASTER  KEY CODE IS PROVIDED TO YOU BY THE COMPANY ..  IF YOU SAM BROADCASTER KEY CODE WAS NOT PROVIDED BY OBG  THAN  PART 1 DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU.

         A.  YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO HAVE A OBG COMPANY OFFICIAL REMOVE AND UNREGISTER  THE SOFTWARE  OR   -PAY  a  $ 450.00 fee to RECOUP YOUR KEY CODE .. if not paid you will be sent a collection bill!!!!!!!!

      Collections are subject to the usual small claims practice, court, etc!    YOU CAN BE CHARGED FOR YOUR SAM BROADCASTER IF YOU FAIL TO RESIGN PROPERLY!!

      PART 2   RELEASES ..   TO WORK AT A 2ND STATION   ETC YOU WILL NEED A RELEASE .  SEE  YOU MANAGER ABOUT GETTING A RELEASE. (OLLIE DECISION  OR THE OWNER OPERATOR YOU WORK FOR)

     ALL STAFF MEMBERS OF ANY STATION MUST GIVE A WRITTEN (LETTER OF TERMINATION) AND COMPLETE 2 WEEKS ...  UNLESS THE MANAGEMENT (OWNER-OPERATOR, GM , OBG OPS MANAGER, OR OLLIE) TERMS THEM EARLY FROM THERE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT (THIS DON'T NECESSARILY ALLOW YOU TO START  AT THE NEXT STATION RIGHT AWAY WITH OBG)  THIS  LETTER MUST BE E-MAILED TO OLLIE AND TO THE OWNER OPERATOR (IF APPLY)

·        No Tampering with Sites .... ALL Site CHANGES Must be made by an approved Graphics Designer after requesting such changes from OBG ...

DRAMA FINES WILL NOW BE ASSESSED TO OWNERS STARTING AT  $75.00 PER INCIDENT  FOR OBG OPERATOR PROGRAM  RESELLER STATIONS ARE EXEMPT

OBG IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXTRA COSTS INVOLVED IN OPERATING YOUR RADIO STATIONS
